Stretch Marks
Reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the body with resurfacing and collagen-stimulating treatments
Body Concern
Smoother Skin, Renewed Confidence
Stretch marks, or striae, develop when the skin is rapidly stretched during pregnancy, growth spurts, or weight changes. They can be a source of self-consciousness, particularly in areas like the abdomen, thighs, and arms.
While stretch marks cannot be fully erased, our combination treatments significantly fade their colour, improve skin texture, and stimulate new collagen to make them far less visible.

What You Might Notice
Reddish, purple, or pink streaks that appeared during pregnancy, rapid growth, or weight change
Mature silver or white linear marks on the abdomen, thighs, hips, breasts, or upper arms
A textural difference from the surrounding skin, with marks that may feel indented or slightly raised
Marks that have been present for years with little natural improvement in colour or texture
Self-consciousness about the marks in swimwear or clothing
A rough or irregular skin surface in the affected areas
Why It Happens
Rapid Skin Stretching
When the skin is stretched faster than it can adapt, during pregnancy, growth spurts, or rapid weight gain, collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis tear, forming stretch marks.
Hormonal Influence
Corticosteroids reduce the skin's elasticity, making it more susceptible to tearing during periods of physical change. Pregnancy hormones similarly affect collagen structure.
Genetics
A genetic predisposition significantly influences how elastically the skin responds to stretching. If your parents have stretch marks, you are more likely to develop them.
Rapid Weight Loss
Significant and rapid weight reduction can also cause stretch marks as the skin contracts faster than underlying structures can adapt.
Age and Skin Quality
Younger skin with higher collagen content is paradoxically more prone to stretch marks during growth spurts; mature marks in adults are usually long-established and require more intensive treatment.
Chronic Dehydration
Persistently dehydrated skin has reduced elasticity and resilience, making it less able to withstand the mechanical stress of stretching.
